Day 412

I love toys; gizmos, electronics, home automation, and anything that I can make do something amazing. But I've noticed that ever since my first computer, there is almost always a period of depression around the acquisition of a new whizzbang. Whether it's buyer's remorse or the frustrations of making such a thing fulfill its promise of changing my life, there is always this darkness between the purchase and the functional implementation.

I'm not sure why I'm writing about this, but it seems like that may have been a level of isolation that was self-defeating in its inception, at a very base level. I'm reluctant to admit this because I don't want to give up big-boy toys.

Like everything else in my life right now, I need to face what needs to be addressed and is actionable.
