July 26 • Getting Out of My Head

Day 382

It is so hard for me to believe that I once thought my obsessions were 'normal red-blooded American male' fantasies. It's hard to read someone describing what's been going on in my head for decades, and calling it a disease.

It's also a blessing to know that I don't have to live with that world in my head any longer and that there are others who have been where I've been and are now where I want to be.

–JR

I'm like a soldier getting over the war

Like a young man getting over his crazy days

Like a bandit getting over his lawless ways

I don't have to do that anymore

–Johnny Cash, ”Like a Soldier"
